Chris Churchill is a Ph.D. student in Classics at the University of California, Berkeley. He received a B.A. in Classics and Archaeology from Wesleyan University in 2000 and an M.A. in Classics from Berkeley in 2006. Chris' academic interests are focused primarily on the literature of the Roman Empire, especially the development of Latin epic poetry and the literature of the Neronian period (e.g., Petronius, Seneca, and Lucan). His teaching experience at Berkeley has included Latin courses, both during the regular semester and as director of the Latin Workshop in 2008, as well as courses in Roman history and culture.
